Do you remember how, in the early 2000’s, the 21st century was called “the Century of Speed?” Back then it seemed pretentious, but we eventually ended up rebranding the normal living pace into “slow living.”

In today’s world, there’s always something happening. News and notifications that never come to an end and a constant noise we somehow got used to.

Every morning, 13 chats are already waiting for a response, and by the time you’ve had your morning coffee, 7 other notifications pop up – all on top of your to-do list for the day.

To deal with all of these, we’ve become masters of multi-tasking. And while we did that, we’ve lost our ability to single-task. To sit with one activity and dive deeply into it.

We sit at our desks thinking of the laundry, and we fold the laundry thinking of our emails. We listen to podcasts when we commute or clean up. It’s almost unnatural to do just one thing at a time.

But this is what we need to relearn. In a world where everything changes quickly, the ability to single-task can help us with stability, clarity, and agency.

This library is meant to help you rediscover the benefits of single-tasking, and support you as you weave it in your way of work. In here, you’ll find resources, ideas, and exercises to help you slow down your pace without affecting your results. And if you’re already practicing this art, share your experience in the comments below.
